Labubu collectors often throw around terms like blind box, secret rare, and display case — but what do they all mean?
If you’re new to the game, this post breaks down how Labubu drops work, so you can shop smarter.
What Is a Blind Box?
A blind box is a sealed package that hides which figure you’ll get inside. You can’t choose — it’s totally random! That mystery is part of the fun, especially when you’re hoping to score a rare variant.
What’s in a Full Display Case?
Pop Mart typically sells Labubu figures individually or in full cases. A display case usually includes 12 blind boxes, with one guaranteed Secret Rare in some sets. Buying a case gives you a better chance of completing the series (and trading extras).
What Are Secret Rares?
Secret Rares are hidden figures that aren’t shown on the box artwork. They’re harder to find and often the most valuable in the series. For example, the “Rainbow Labubu” or “Glow-in-the-Dark Zimomo” can sell for double or triple the original price on resale.
Pro Tip:

Whether you’re a casual fan or a hardcore collector, understanding how blind boxes work will help you build a collection you’re proud of — and avoid overpaying for fakes or duplicates.
